WOODLAND HOUSE DESIGN

Creating beautifully functional spaces for every home.

At Woodland House Design LLC we design residential  spaces that are comfortable, personal and interesting. Great interior design is great art, reflecting who you are in ways you never imagined. Our unique perspective, grounded in both art and architecture, reflects an artist’s eye toward color and materials and a strong sense of space and form. We are artists, we are designers, and we are here to make your space better than you could have ever imagined.

PROJECTS

This bathroom was in desperate need of a new layout! We gutted the entire space to the studs, leveled the floor, and began to recreate the bathroom of their dreams. From the patterned floor tile to the gold plumbing and shower door we absolutely love this space. Tall vanity mirrors emphasize the amazing ceiling height. The gold and black repeating throughout the space adds cohesion. In this bathroom you can find a mix of modern, traditional, and industrial all playing well together. The wood vanity adds a layer of warmth and texture. The soft green walls complete the look.

This stunning mid-century ranch already had great bones. We updated the kitchen with custom cabinets with a custom gray stain, new countertops, back splash, extra large island, live edge floating shelves and a coffee bar to die for. We created a laundry room for a busy family, an eclectic powder room complete with a wood wall, and a livable yet elegant dining room. The best part of the dining room....keeping the original wallpaper!

In this vibrant East Nashville home, we created a soft, romantic environment where all guests feel warm and invited. The wonderful mix of lines and curves is now layered into this space’s architecture and furnishings. The result is a place of balance and beauty, in harmony with its surroundings. Gold + Black, marble, handmade tiles, live edge cedar....jpg

This wonderful family home had a personality of its own. Our goal was to keep as much of that personality and uniqueness while making the space more functional for a family of 4....with lots of neighborhood kids coming to visit. We removed the wall between the kitchen and dining room opening up the main gathering space in the house. With budget in mind we kept the kitchen cabinets but added several new cabinets to the sun room. The sun room became an expansion of the kitchen adding more storage and work space. A new banquette optimized the dining room seating. The handmade tiles, black and gold school house light fixtures, and live edge shelving were the perfect finishing touches for this new open space.

This run down ranch went through some major changes to become this bright and inviting space. The dark wood paneling (including the cabinets) received a fresh coat of paint throughout the house. We opted to keep the original cabinets, bathroom floor and wood paneling to preserve the charm this home already had. We added new cabinets in the kitchen for additional storage, new appliances, backsplash, lighting, plumbing & countertops to complete the look. Modern, vibrant, and bold furnishings brought this space to life. Never fear color!

A sweet little ranch style home updated with an all new master bathroom, furniture, lighting and accessories throughout. Custom cabinetry flanking the large picture window in the breakfast room increased the kitchen storage space. We finished off the look with a fresh coat of paint that brightened and tied all the rooms together. If you need help updating your house, set up a free consultation!

After a tragic fire destroyed this East Nashville home, we volunteered our time and services to help a family redesign and rebuild their entire house. Complete with new space planning to function better for the whole family, we finished with a bright and cheerful color palette throughout. We were even able to finish out the basement level with an additional kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living space.

LAUNDRY ROOM, BATHROOM, AND BATHROOM

This basement started off dark, dreary and neglected. We helped design custom cabinetry, drying racks and shelving for the laundry room. Concrete tiles, gold hardware and plumbing, and a soft yellow ceiling really warmed up the space. Going with the ranch style house we went with a mid-century modern design for the bathroom and bedroom. The green sleeper love seat is just beautiful!

In this vibrant East Nashville home, we created a soft, romantic environment where all guests feel warm and invited. The wonderful mix of lines and curves is now layered into this space’s architecture and furnishings. The result is a place of balance and beauty, in harmony with its surroundings.
